Product Description
Sodium Ethoxide appearance: white or almost white particles, easy to dissolve in water and generate free alkali.
Appearance properties: light yellow granules or powder. Sensitive to light. Dew decomposes in the air. Long-term storage becomes darker.
Solubility: Soluble in absolute ethanol and insoluble in benzene.
Melting point: 260 ℃
Density: 0.35--0.65 g/mL
Stability: Reacts violently with acids and water; incompatible with chlorinated solvents and moisture; absorbs carbon dioxide from the air. Storage conditions: Store at room temperature.
Water solubility: miscible, decomposes into sodium hydroxide and ethanol in case of water.
Sensitivity: Moisture sensitive.
Storage Precautions: Vacuum tight or inert gas protection
